Almost a year later and 2 pairs finished!

Other things have been happening in life so posting about knitting here wasn't important but now... TADAAAAA!

The Sheepicorn socks mostly fit and the dark strip 'Tourmaline' Kroy socks I sized for my son and fit just a tad loose on me so perfect. I was down to an inch size ball of yarn for the kroy socks so the cuff is not very tall. Ribbed instep and Fleegle Heel with 2x2 ribbing on cuff. Never, ever again will knit anything with black or dark colors (I still have the green/black pair to work on but that's it). Another knitter gave me advice on making the leg/heel fit better by increasing the number of stitches in the heel. Devon's socks are 68 total stitches instead of 64 which is why they're so roomy so that will be the trick for future socks.

Next pair of socks from stash, Lion Brand Magic Stripes, the only ball that survived. There was a blue/grey stripe ball as well but it was eaten so badly by moths I had to toss the entire ball. Sadness but oh well.

The other is a shawl that I was gifted yarn to make called Palimpsest from Expression Fiber Arts. 8 skeins of worsted weight yarn with cables and moss/seed stitch. It is definitely a challenge and I'm only about a third of the way through. I'm further along than that photo which was taken a few weeks ago. Each color change is alternating two rows of each color to fade into the next. I switched two of the colors in the sequence on the right and still looks great.

It's smaller looking than the model but then my gauge may be tighter and it's not blocked yet. Color wise, I'm about halfway having just started the greenish khaki color  and if not for the cables and stitch variation would be rather boring.

Am now contemplating making a men's short sleeve 'vest' for my sweetie, will see how that pans out. Right now no big projects until that shawl is done and will keep plugging away at the socks to use up my stash.  Oh and the blue gloves I had started, going to frog those back to the cuffs and then restart as cuff down socks.

That's all the yarn for now.
